Dental Clinic Policies

At Creekside Dental Langley, we are committed to providing exceptional dental care in a transparent and professional environment. To ensure the best possible experience for all our patients, we have established the following policies regarding appointments, insurance coverage, payment procedures, and office standards. Please take a moment to review these important guidelines, as they help us maintain efficient operations while delivering the quality care you deserve.

  1. As a courtesy and convenience to you, our patient, Creekside Dental Langley accepts dental plans upon confirmation of your coverage and the information your insurance company discloses. Based on this information, we are able to provide you with ESTIMATES of treatment costs to the best of our knowledge.
  2. Your dental policy is a contract between you, your employer, and your insurance company. Should your coverage terminate or change in any way, we can only be notified of this by YOU, the patient. If treatment is not paid by your dental plan, it is the sole responsibility of you, the patient, to cover all costs.
  3. We bill all treatment on the day the service is rendered. If we have not received payment from your insurance company within 60 days, the balance becomes your responsibility. Any unpaid portion of a claim is the responsibility of the patient.
  4. Payment for services rendered is expected in full once we notify you by phone, email, or mail. If payment is not received, Creekside Dental Langley may exercise the right to transfer your account to a Debt Collection Agency.
  5. Appointments are reserved specifically for you. We kindly ask for a minimum of 2 business days’ notice for any cancellations or changes. Missed appointments or late cancellations may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Patients who arrive more than 10–15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled so we can stay on time for all patients.
  6. At Creekside Dental, we kindly ask all patients to confirm their appointments at least 2 business days in advance. If we are unable to reach you for confirmation after multiple attempts, we may need to release your appointment time to accommodate other patients who are waiting for care.
  7. For larger treatment plans, we may send a predetermination to your insurance company to confirm coverage. Please note that not all services are covered by dental plans (e.g., cosmetic procedures, nightguards, or elective treatments). Patients are responsible for full payment of any non-covered services.
  8. All new patients require a new patient exam and up to date x-rays before beginning hygiene or other treatment. Treatment will be sequenced according to urgency and patient needs.
  9. Creekside Dental Langley complies with the BC Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the College of Dental Surgeons of BC (CDSBC) standards. All personal information and treatment records remain confidential.
  10. We strictly follow current infection prevention and sterilization protocols set by the CDSBC and BC Centre for Disease Control to ensure patient and staff safety.
  11. While we value all of our patients, Creekside Dental Langley reserves the right to discontinue care in certain circumstances, such as repeated missed appointments, failure to meet financial responsibilities, or inappropriate behaviour toward staff or other patients. Should this occur, we will provide reasonable notice, ensure access to emergency care during the transition, and transfer records to another provider upon request.
