Call 911 or go to the ER first if you have trouble breathing or swallowing, swelling spreading toward your eye or down your neck, bleeding that won't stop, or a serious jaw or facial injury — those need a hospital. For every other dental emergency, call us and we'll see you fast.

What we treat

Common dental emergencies, handled fast.

Severe toothache

Throbbing, sharp, or constant pain that won't settle.

Knocked-out tooth

Time matters — keep it in milk and call us right away.

Broken or chipped tooth

Including a lost or broken filling or crown.

Swelling or abscess

Facial swelling needs prompt care — don't wait it out.

Bleeding that won't stop

After an injury or extraction site.

Lost crown or veneer

Bring the piece if you have it — we can often re-seat it.

Before you arrive

What to do right now.

A few calm steps can protect your tooth while you head in. Call us first — then:

Knocked-out tooth

Pick it up by the crown, never the root. Rinse gently — don't scrub. Try to slip it back into the socket; if you can't, keep it in milk. See us within the hour.

Broken or chipped tooth

Save any pieces. Rinse with warm water and use a cold compress for swelling. Cover a sharp edge with dental wax, and avoid chewing on that side.

Severe toothache

Rinse with warm salt water and floss gently to clear trapped food. Use over-the-counter pain relief and a cold compress — then call us.

Lost filling or crown

Keep the crown if you have it. Avoid hard, sticky foods and keep the area clean — never use household glue. Call us to re-seat or replace it.

Frequently asked

Honest answers, plainly told.

How fast can I be seen for a dental emergency?

We hold emergency slots every weekday and can usually see you the same day. Call first thing for the earliest available time.

What does an emergency visit cost?

An emergency exam is modest. We give you the price before any treatment and direct-bill insurance and the CDCP.

Can I come if I'm not already a patient?

Yes — we see emergencies whether or not you've been here before. New patients are always welcome.

Can the emergency room treat my dental problem?

Hospitals can help with airway problems, severe swelling, or bleeding that won't stop, and may give antibiotics or pain relief — but they don't do dental treatment. For the actual fix (the tooth, and the infection at its source) you'll still need a dentist, so if it isn't life-threatening, call us first.

Will you try to save my tooth, or pull it?

We always try to save your natural tooth first — often with a filling, a root canal, or re-cementing a crown. An extraction is a last resort, for when a tooth truly can't be saved. We'll explain your options and the price before anything begins.

Don't wait on dental pain.
